Can't delete resource group

Question

I have resource group named : MA_defaultazuremonitorworkspace-sea_southeastasia_managed

BUT I didn't create this resource group, so I want to delete it.

I tried it many time but still got error

Delete resource group MA_defaultazuremonitorworkspace-sea_southeastasia_managed failed Failed to delete resource group MA_defaultazuremonitorworkspace-sea_southeastasia_managed: The client 'live.com#******@gmail.com' with object id '48958886-43b4-4d58-bcc3-585e7bb08c94' has permission to perform action 'Microsoft.Resources/subscriptions/resourceGroups/delete' on scope '/subscriptions/c9ec579d-e5d1-4661-b71c-93bcaab68034/resourceGroups/MA_defaultazuremonitorworkspace-sea_southeastasia_managed'; however, the access is denied because of the deny assignment with name 'Azure Monitor Workspace Managed Resource Group Deny-2d77b781-61bd-42dc-bc19-633d3ff81641' and Id '2d77b78161bd42dcbc19633d3ff81641' at scope '/subscriptions/c9ec579d-e5d1-4661-b71c-93bcaab68034/resourceGroups/MA_defaultazuremonitorworkspace-sea_southeastasia_managed'. I don't know how to delete it, please help me

Hello Thanakorn Sirikulpan,

Welcome to MS Q&A Forum.

Based on the error message above, this Resource Group was created by Azure Monitor.

When you create an Azure Monitor workspace, by default a data collection rule and a data collection endpoint in the form <azure-monitor-workspace-name> will automatically be created in a resource group in the form MA_<azure-monitor-workspace-name>_<location>_managed.

From what I know if you delete Azure Monitor Account Resource, it would delete this Managed Resource group from your subscription.
