How can I obtain the number of characters sonsumed each time my personal application calls Azure speech to text service and calculate fees to charge my users

romungi-MSFT 48,786 Reputation points Microsoft Employee2023-10-17T11:00:09.46+00:00 @gaoyu zhao You will have to use the metrics of your resource to get the details about the number of audio seconds that are transcribed for STT. This can be looked up using Azure portal by looking up your speech resource and opening the Metrics blade under Monitoring section. Use the Metric dropdown to lookup the required usage metric.
Please note, if you are using a single resource for multiple users, you cannot use this metric and get usage reports on a particular session. The usage metrics of the resource are cumulative and you can use the available dimensions to filter the usage.
If you need to pull these details through API, you need to use an azure monitor resource and pull the same for Microsoft.CognitiveServices/accounts resource type.
