Hi @Darshan-S
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A platform.
To provide non-admin users with access to the Task Manager on Azure Virtual Machines, you can follow these steps:
Remote Desktop Connection: Ensure that your non-admin users have Remote Desktop access to the Azure VM. They should be added to the Remote Desktop Users group on the VM or have appropriate permissions.
Local Group Policy: a. Log in to the Azure VM as an administrator. b. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog, then type gpedit.msc and press Enter. This will open the Local Group Policy Editor.
In the Local Group Policy Editor: a. Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Ctrl+Alt+Del Options. b. Double-click on "Remove Task Manager" to open its properties.
Set the "Remove Task Manager" option to "Not Configured" or "Disabled." This will enable Task Manager for non-admin users.
Click "Apply" and "OK" to save your changes.
You may need to log off or restart the VM for the changes to take effect.
After completing these steps, non-admin users should be able to access the Task Manager on the Azure VM.
If there are any specific group policies that are set on the domain level, you might not be able to make this change. In such cases, you need to check with administrator that manages global group policies.
