I used to get these on our old server, but since configuring it on our new server a week ago I have received nothing, although there was a warning when I checked. I cannot find anyplace after 30 min of searching in the recovery services vault to have it do this. So I thought I'd see if anybody else knows.

Hello @Jim Thank you for contacting us on Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to help!

I understand that you want to enable emails alerts for Azure backup [Warning, Failure ....]

One way is to configure notifications for alerts through "Backup Center". You can follow the instructions from this link - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/backup/backup-azure-monitoring-built-in-monitor?tabs=recovery-services-vaults#configuring-notifications-for-alerts

You can also leverage Azure monitor-based alerts for Azure backup. Refer to the documentation - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/backup/move-to-azure-monitor-alerts to know more about the features it offers.

Hope this helps. Please write back to us if you need any assistance!
