Integrating Project for the Web with MS Planner

Hi Microsoft team,

Is there a way to integrate Project for the Web with MS Planner so that team members can see tasks assigned to them in Project in their Planner Task List?

We currently use Project for the Web embedded into MS Teams which is very handy. Being able to integrate with Planner will greatly help.

We are looking to create a report that shows all project for the web and planner tasks that are assigned to a user to help avoid resourcing problems.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Hi,

We use planner for smaller projects and project for the web with bigger projects. We want a report to see the task assignment for users that combines the planner and project for the web tasks as a way to better utilize our resources(IE IT and accounting).

Is this a possibility or something that can even be done?

    Thanks

    Chris

    Hi CBerry34:

I'm sorry, but as far as i know this option isn't supported in Teams/Planner/Poroject on the web.

However, as a workaround, maybe you can export the tasks from both sources in Excel files and latter merge these files to create a consolidate report, you can see how to do in:

I hope that the information gives to you will be useful to your purposes, please let me know about the result, because other users with the same problem will know what to do.

Greetings and have a nice day.

Hi CBerry34, I'm Sergio, it's a pleasure to help you.

Microsoft says that Planner will remain the right starting point for individuals and teams collaborating on tasks. Project for the web offers the perfect “grow-up” tool for individuals and teams using Planner who find they need things like a grid view, dependencies, scheduling, and a timeline (Gantt) view.

Can I use Project for the web with Microsoft 365 applications?

Project for the web is built on Microsoft 365 Groups, so it works with any Microsoft 365 tools you use to collaborate with your teammates on projects. For details on how to use Groups with Project for the web, see

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/shar...

However, if these features aren't enough to your needs, then you can send a feedback directly to Microsoft to improve the functionality in future updates.

To send a feedback in Team you can select the Help button at the bottom lower-left of Teams and then choose Suggest a feature or Give feedback to tell to Microsoft what you think.

    Greetings.
