windows media player reset

I inadvertently installed a video driver for blu-rays into Windows Media player after trying to play a dvd movie which It did work. a prompt popped up saying I needed it to play the movie.

However, when playing a movie or mp4 and scrolling forward or back it freezes and you can't recover. you have to close and restart. Is there a way to reset windows media player. The Media player classic seem to work for the time being.

I looked in uninstall and it could be MicrosoftEdge webview2 runtime. Not entirely sure! Please let there be a way to fix this, TIA

    Ok, figured out something. for some reason my arrow keys are changing the speed to .25. How and what would cause this. Can it be reset?
