Workspace not showing when trying to create a Microsoft Purview information protection

I am attempting to create a Microsoft Purview Information Protection resource to discover data from SharePoint. I have already created a resource group and a workspace. However, when trying to create the Information Protection resource from Microsoft Azure, I cannot choose any workspace for that component. How can I create a workspace for Microsoft Purview Information Protection resource and use it for SharePoint data discovery? Thank you.

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

To get started with Microsoft Puriew information protection, you need to create a log analytics workspace first.

the workspace referencing in the screen is "log analytics" workspace.

Now I am trying to find how to connect and scan SharePoint files with Information Protection, to classify them later, I don't know if there is any follow up with that...

Hello Gonzalo Marco Fernandez (ES),

You can scan on-premises SharePoint sites and libraries provided through the Azure Information Protection scanner.

The scanner is available for use through a customer's Microsoft 365 subscription with the following SKUs: AIP P1, EMS E3, and Microsoft 365 E3. If you have any one of these SKUs, you should have the right entitlements to start using the Azure Information Protection scanner.
