As per the recent update, Log Analytics Agent (or) MMA agent is in deprecation path and wont be supported after 31Aug2024.

We use MMA agent to collect logs & performance monitor for Operations Manager. Will the MMA deprecations affect data collection only for Azure monitor?

What should be done to send data to Operations Manager via MMA agent?

Does the new Azure Monitor Agent (AMA) support Operations Manager?

    Hello @Senthilnath TM

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and thank you for posting your questions here.

You were asking based on the latest updates about Log Analytics (MMA) agent deprecation - Support for Operations Manager MMA ends after 31 Aug., 2024.

There are many solutions Microsoft have provided that do similar such as Azure Monitor Agent, Azure Data Explorer, Logstash or Fluent Bit. These tools can send data to Azure Event Hubs, which can then be ingested by Azure Data Explorer or other services. However, these tools may require more configuration and management than the Azure Monitor Agent or Azure Data Explorer.

The new Azure Monitor Agent (AMA) and Azure Data Explorer does not support Operations Manager yet. It is currently in preview and only supports sending data to Log Analytics workspaces and Azure Monitor features. However, you can continue using the AMA agent side-by-side with the MMA agent to connect to both Azure Monitor and Operations Manager. You can also migrate from Operations Manager to Azure Monitor if you want to transition your monitoring workloads to the cloud.

Currently, there is no replacement for MMA, but while putting finger across and waiting. I'm very sure if the date is not extended, Microsoft will announce a new suitable tool to replace MMA before the last date.

You can continue follow up the below references for any update or latest information in the nearest future.

    Reference:

    Operations Manager Agents.

Connect Operations Manager to Azure Monitor.

Migrate from System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) to Azure Monitor.

I hope this is helpful! PS: Do not hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions.
