Team,I have a scenario where we are moving 1 day old data in recoverable folder to online archive..we have a policy setup but we have one user on whom discovery hold is applied and when checked the recoverable folder structure majorly data is in discovery hold...How can I reduce the dumpster/recoverable folder data without impacting the discovery holds and why the policy of moving emails is not working in this case

    Hi @kanupriya,

If you would like to purge the recoverable items folder for a mailbox that is on hold, you need to first remove the hold from the mailbox, as the purpose of hold is to prevent emails from being permanently deleted from the mailbox.

Please refer to the steps in this Microsoft documentation:

Delete items in the Recoverable Items folder of cloud-based mailboxes on hold

    01

You can re-enable the hold after the purge.
