In place upgrade licensing

I am trying to perform an in place upgrade in vsphere. The host is licensed but I am unsure how to get the iso that is necessary for the upgrade. Eval ISOs do not let me sandbox the upgrade on a clone, they also don't let me upgrade the original VM. So what do I need in order to firstly, sandbox the upgrade on a clone (hopefully), and secondly, perform the the upgrade?

Is it possible to sandbox the upgrade? (windows server 2012 r2 --> WS 2019) (VM on vsphere)

And how do I get the required ISO to perform the upgrade? I believe the company has a volume license package.

Yes, that's correct. An in-place upgrade is not possible to do with evaluation media. Since you have a volume license you should have access to sign in and download licensed install media there.
