windows explorer folders used to show an image fro inside the folder

Recently reinstalled windows 10 and have a windows11 pc also. In windows explorer when looking at folders, it used to show a partial image of what's inside the folder. How do I get that back. Thank you!!!!!

I've tried those to no avail. It's weird. The files in my video directory show fine but not the pictures directory.

Here's a sample. the pictures are all jpegs and used to show.
