Its picking an available domain controller, there is no such thing as a backup domain controller.
I wouldnt hard code it, let it find and use the one it wants.

Hi,
I migrated Azure AD Connect to a server named DC01. Synchronization is working. The Azure portal shows an OK status, and synchronization manager logs also indicate correct operations. User accounts are synchronizing.
What puzzles me, however, is that in the synchronization manager, the Connection Status field displays the backup domain controller named DC02 instead of DC01. Unfortunately, I don't know what this means; should I be concerned about it?
A few days ago, I created a new domain controller named DC01 and installed Azure AD Connect on it. Previously, it was installed on a server named DB01, and DC02 was the primary domain controller. Should I make changes to this setup?
I configured Azure AD Connect using settings imported from the previous server (DB02).
