Booting windows issues. New ssd WITH recovery media

Hello Microsoft. I recently got a new ssd but I'm having no luck booting into windows. Just stuck on my recovery screen from my recovery USB. I've made into the install screen but when the system restarts it just makes me repeat the process. I only have the one disk besides the usb which is the new ssd. When I looked into my disk information in cmd prompt I noticed it has two partitions. One is a 500mb C: drive with my windows boot manager and one has the rest of the 900 gb which has the os and bootloader information. I may have caused this issue by still having my old junk hdd attached when I first installed the ssd before removing the hdd. Any tips on whether or not this is causing my problem and how to address it?
