Hi,

I hope you can help me. The first time I installed microsoft sql server it worked. I uninstalled because I didn't have access to the Import/Export wizard from my desktop.

Now that I'm reinstalling, I'm getting this error. I have uninstalled it several times with the instructions to uninstall in regedit but everytime I try to install again it creates the same error.

error 1

Here's the summary of the error:

    Hi @Steph

The first installation succeeded and the second failed. Looks like not completely uninstalled.

You can refer to these two links.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/sql-server/install/uninstall-sql-server?view=sql-server-ver16

    https://poweradm.com/uninstall-microsoft-sql-server/

If you still encounter the same error, please attach the detail.txt file from the log folder.

    Best regards,

    Percy Tang
