Hello,
I've recently applied a security update on my SharePoint farm. In this process, first, SharePoint servers were taken offline to perform a snapshot. Second, once the servers were online, I'd installed the patch. I've noticed that all sites have the same last modified date now. What would have caused this behavior?
Update: I would like to mention SQL was also shutdown in order for a snapshot to occur.
This is unfortunately normal behavior after a patch has been deployed to the farm. Nothing you can do to prevent it.

Yep. I can't recall, but I believe this was fixed in 2019 -- not sure if that was backported to 2016. I did test deploying the Oct 2020 PU for 2016 and didn't observe the behavior of all Doc Libs showing as Modified at the time of the patch.
Ok so, it sounds like, the behavior is not normal for 2016.
