Management Point in Critical State following Console Upgrade (2303)

We upgraded the SCCM console because the current site version (version 2203) is past the end of support.

On the day of the upgrade I checked a couple things and all looked healthy but today I noticed that the servers we have in SCCM under the devices tab are all showing as offline and inactive status.

The server clients all last made contact with the MP 9 days ago which would have been close to but not exactly on the date the upgrade work got completed.

In the System Health administration it says that the Management point site system role is in a critical state.

I checked that the Management Point can be reached from a client server in this test we used these x2 URLs;

http(s)://<SERVERNAME>/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mplist

http(s)://<SERVERNAME>/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mpcert

Both URLs seem to work and can be reached from a client server so we know communication is possible between the MP and server so not sure what else I should be looking at but would appreciate some help to figuring this one out since it is stopping us from patching our servers
