"Open in a new window" button doesn't appear in Viva Connections

On our SharePoint Online Intranet, we use the File and Media webpart to display some of our key policies and forms on various SharePoint pages. One of the great features of this webpart is being able to select the "Open in new window" button to get a full screen view, and even complete other actions if necessary such as print (in the screenshot below, it's that far right button)

This button appears and works fine for SharePoint Online and Teams Viva Connections in the browser, however we've discovered the button isn't visible at all when using Viva Connections on the desktop version of Teams (in the screenshot below, you'll see there's no button for it)

Any plans to fix this? Or is there anything we can do to get this working?

    I test the File and Media webpart in both browser and Teams client application. As a result, I reproduce the issue you descripted.

    It's the designed behavior and I am afraid the option to "Open in new window" is not available in the Teams client application at present.

    Meanwhile, to get this option in the Teams client application, I recommend you give suggestion in the feedback portal and help to make improvements. Many features of current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future.
