I have checked internally on this issue and below is an update. The subscription plan Azure for Students is no longer allows for Azure OpenAI use. Our team is working on getting this communicated to avoid any confusion and inconvenience. As mentioned in Azure account requirements , you can get an Azure account for free and you'll get some free Azure credits to get started to ensure Azure OpenAI deployments are successful once your request is approved. You can request access with this form . If your access request to Azure OpenAI service doesn't match the acceptance criteria , you can use OpenAI public API instead. Hope this helps. I tried to create a deployment but as you can see in the screenshot i am not allowed to, since the gpt access has been granted for a while, this is really weird, please help thanks.

Could you confirm in which region you have deployed the OpenAI resource and trying to create the models?

Please note that Model availability varies by region.

Also, confirm if you have required level of access to create models? See Azure OpenAI roles for more details.

User needs to be a reader at the Subscription level and should have Cognitive Services OpenAI Contributor on the resource level to work. You can check the list of actions available and assign the roles.

I do have access, but why do i have this SKU "S0" thing when trying to create new azure openai instance ? does it mean my access is revoked?
