I have created a new Azure Databricks workspace and i want to be able to use my Azure AD groups to manage security.

How can i make my AAD groups visible within databricks?

I have tried following the guide for using the SCIM connector as shown here - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/databricks/administration-guide/users-groups/scim/aad#account

But the 'settings' cog is not available from this page so i cannot get started.

I am using a premium databricks tier and ive also tried logging in with Global Admin and Cloud Admin but with no success. I already have my account created in databricks as an admin. SSO is also working with no issues.

What am I missing?

thanks

Marcus

    Hello Marcus Fox,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

It seems like you don't have "Azure databricks account admin" access to the Azure databricks account portal.

There are two levels of admin privileges available on the Azure Databricks platform.

Account admins: Manage the Azure Databricks account, including enabling Unity Catalog, user provisioning, and account-level identity management.

Workspace admins: Manage workspace identities, access control, settings, and features for individual workspaces in the account.

Can you please confirm whether you have Account admin privileges using the Azure databricks account portal: https://accounts.azuredatabricks.net
