The "user profile service" service failed the signed. the user profile cannot be loaded.

We are receiving this error message in certain computers. If we restart the computer, the issue resolves. But it comes back again and no solution is found yet. We did try add registry entry for the profile (Refcount- value 0). But that didnt resolve the issue. There is no .bak extension for the profile name in the registry also.

This issue suddenly started for some of the computers at our organization at different sites. Is there a way to permanently solve it.

    Hi

    Do you got more error in the event log ? I suspect an software that could block the reading of the profile, aka possibly an antivirus.

    Can you try on a problematic computer to remove the antivirus, if it work it would be to set scan exeption, or to open a support case to your antivirus vendor.

    Hello Philippe,

    Thanks for your response. We didn't uninstall antivirus from the computer because we have the same antivirus in all our computers and it is not causing issue in all these devices. In case if antivirus is the reason, how is it getting resolved when we restart the device. I will surely recheck and compare with the devices where this issue occurred and check the antivirus version.

    But can there be any other reasons.

    We had also the same issue on multiple computers. It is resolving itself after trying to login three or four times. It is annoying to users. The issue shows up after October 2023, now more users having this issue. we are using Mcafee Endpoint protection with Agent. HP Wolf Security is existed in this PC, but protection is disabled state.

    Look forward the solution.
