Hi guys, let me explain first. I am using Window Server 2012 R2. And this is a test lab environment. So I have two AD server which this server is joined to and one of the AD server is the iscsci target. Anyways let's come to the point. I created two window server 2012 R2 which I want to turn into Hyper-V Failover cluster server. The failover clustering feature is working fine. But when I want to add Hyper-V role it comes out this error. So I had figure out a solution which is using command in power shell to add it and it works. The issue is when I do that I have to create a virtual switch manually which leads to a lot of error when I want to create a virtual machine in the failover cluster manager. So I am redoing it and trying to find a solution to add Hyper-V using the Server Manager. For your information I tried adding Hyper-V roles in another server which is window server 2019 and it helped me create a virtual switch and when I create a virtual machine it didn't give me any problem. This server also is a Hyper-V failover cluster server. Only the Window Server 2012 R2 is giving me issue like this. Please someone give e a solution anything should do since this is a testing environment.

    Hi,

The hardware cannot be shared between virtualization applications. Have you got any other virtualization software installed on your server? If no, open Command Prompt as administrator and run bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype auto, then restart the server.

    Best Regards,
