Hi,

Is it safe to delete the owner who originally created the Azure subscription / resources?

Example, if the original owner created an Azure SQL, will deleting the owner remove the Azure SQL.

How to proceed with the safe deletion performing checks before proceeding?

Thanks.

    Hello @Gregorio Montaño

Thank you for you for reaching us!
I understand that you are trying to delete the owner of Azure subscription or resources and you would like to know the consequences post deleting the owner.
Removing the owner doesn't automatically delete the resources they created. The resources will persist and function unless specifically removed.

Before removing the owner of an Azure subscription or resources, it’s important to ensure that there are other users with sufficient permissions such as owners or contributors, to manage these resources. Transferring ownership or permissions to another person before removing the original owner is a good practice.

This is to prevent any potential disruptions or loss of access to the resources. If the subscription's owner role is inherited from the current management group, you can only transfer the subscription to another management group where you possess the Owner role.
I hope this answer helps! If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.
