How do I contact the MS Authenticator support team directly.
The general MS support team do not have the background to assist and I can't find a way to contact someone in MS Authenticaor team/support area directly.
I need a prior version of my MS Authenticator application backup to be reinstated to my MS account so that I can retore that backup to the Authenticator app on my phone.
I have erroneously overwritten the backup with a new backup after reinstalling the application and logging in to my account.
To wit,
Hopefully this gets to the relevant dev team, the installation process for this application should check when you're signing in for first time to see if there already exists a MS Authenticator backup on the designated account and then provide a warning that the backup exists and will become inaccessible after direct sign in and after this warning then to either:
- offer an option to rather restore the existing backup or
- stop the sign in process and direct the user to the restore option
(which is buried behind 3 screens and is the 4th and least prominent option on the 3rd screen.)
The previous 2 screens repeatedly use a similar paradigm as above for links to the "Privacy Statement".
So by the third screen you do not even look at last link at the bottom of the screen.
