Unable to install CALs license from old server to new server.

My old Remote Desktop server is already broke down and cannot be accessed because the OS is accidentally deleted by user. Now i have a newly created VM and i want to use my RD License installed from my broken VM to my new VM.

when i try to install the license it shows error "the license code is already activated".

does anyone have solution for this. thank you.

    Hello,

    You could select manager RDS CAL option in this link:https://activate.microsoft.com/

    You can use Manage CALs to do either of the following:

    • Move installed RDS CALs from a once-activated Remote Desktop license server to another activated license server.
    • Rebuild the RD Licensing database on the license server and recover the RDS CALs that were previously installed on the license server
