Latency issues with wired speaker connection in Microsoft teams calls.

I am unable to use bluetooth for audio on Microsoft teams calls, it is unreliable, only works about 15% of the time. I've troubleshooted everything (restart, reinstall, different bluetooth device). So, now I am using a wired connection to my conference speaker (AnkrPowerconf3) and it is much more reliable but I have been having latency issues (calls are cutting out every about 30 seconds for about 2-3 seconds, then I hear the missing audio delayed)

  • My internet connection is secure
  • I restart teams - no fix
  • I restart my computer - no fix

Using macOS Monterey - 12.6.7

Any ideas?

Thanks

    Hi @Legg, MacKenzie

Based on your description, there are a few possible solutions that you can try:

    • Make sure your internet connection is stable and fast. Check your network speed on a speed test website and make sure it is within recommended parameters.
    • Try disabling any firewalls or antivirus programs you may have running in the background.
    • Clear the Teams cache from your device. User's image
    • If you’re using a VPN to access Teams, turn it off and back on.
    • If you’re using the Teams desktop, try using the web version: https://teams.microsoft.com/.

But as far as I can tell it seems to be a known issue. if all that doesn't work, you can select Help at the bottom lower-left of Teams and then choose Suggest a feature or Give feedback.
