Windows 10 Pro current build
I had a MB failure and rebuilt the system with all new hardware EXCEPT for the OS SSD. The system came up and it recognized the new configuration. MB is from GigaByte. I am experiencing a loss of network connection after a few hours of operation. The GigaByte support team said this is a known MS issue on MB swap outs and I need to re-install windows to properly link the new hardware to the prior OS hardware layer.
My question is there a recovery option in Windows 10 that will keep the installed apps. This is a main production system and controls the Ubiquity network devices as well as other apps. It would take a lot to start from scratch.
I have one other option; this new configuration is Windows 11 capable. Would an upgrade to windows 11 fix the issue?

You can try a reset
but make sure the chipset has been installed. The chipset allows the operating system to find and use devices integrated into the mother board.

I will first take a system image in case of issues (always do).
I will also check with GigaByte support on the chipset being installed correctly.
Here is my real concern; this is a fully loaded application software system. I wish to refresh the OS but KEEP all the installed apps. Can I do that? I already have a problem with Office 2019 seeing a newer hardware.
Pease advise.
Reset fixed MB/OS linkage. Overnight network connectivity held.
However, reset does delete all apps. I am now reloading all software onto this system. Ugh!
