Defender for Cloud - user_impersonation scope

Hi, we'd like to use this API request: [link to Microsoft API]. According to the documentation, we need the scope "user_impersonation." How do we add it? through API permissions -> Azure Service Management API?
Also, can we use the client credentials flow for this?
