Hi everyone,

We have a SharePoint site called Main Site, which contains templates for folder structure as well as Office documents. We want to be prompted to select the save location whenever a file from this site is opened, even if we want to save it to another SharePoint site.

Is there any way to achieve this?

Thank you.

    Hi @George Botonakis

Generally, files need to be saved only after they have been edited. Just opening it will not trigger the save mechanism. Moreover, the file is generally saved to the default path, and there is no way to set it to ask for the save location every time. As a workaround, it is recommended that you manually save as, which can also save the file to other sites.
