Allow Widgets for personal owned devices with configuration profile and app protection policy

Question

Hi,

I have app protection policy in place to protect business apps. We work with personal owned work profiles for android. I want to enable the usage of widgets. I have enabled "Allow widgets from work profile apps" (device restriction; configuration policy).

Unfortunately, it doesn´t work. I can´t add widgets to my homescreen. Do I have to adjust something in the app protection policy?

From your description, I know that you want to enable the usage of widgets on BYOD device but get errors.

Based on my research, the usage of widgets is only related to Android device configuration profile, here are some steps you can refer to troubleshoot Android configuration profile on managed devices.

1. Check the profile status in Intune portal.
2. If the profile status is fine, you can follow the link to check diagnostic log on targeted Android device.

thank you for the answer. Everything is fine with the devices. It still doesn´t work as planned.

We only have private devices in place with work profile (Personally owned work profile). The mobile devices are not managed. The settings withint this configuration profile looks like this:

Our app protecion policy covers all Microsoft apps and the settings are as follows:
