In my laptop, there's OFFCIE 2021 installed as default.

In this Word 2021, whilst I made comments, the balloons appeared in the side, devided, not connected with the context page, without that linking line, very uncomfortable.

As well, in the “Home - Styles", it displayed the real style really big, hiding the name / title of the style, felt really pissed, 'cause I can't see the style's full name, not like the OFFICE 2016, made the style type and name in two lines, from which I can clearly know which to choose.

I uninstalled the OFFICE 2021 in current laptaop, installed the OFFICE 2016, however when I open a Word, it displayed the "2021" still, and the above mentioned stupidities still exist.

Dear developers, if you dont have an idea what to improve, don't change the existed so randomly, it's not turning convenient.

I tried to uninstall the 2021, install a 2016 instead, however it display 2021 again while I open a file, and the "style" shows as 2021 still.

    Hi @Bobb ZHANG

Could you please let me know how did you uninstall Office 2021?

According to your description, this issue may be caused by Office 2021 not being completely uninstalled.

    • I suggest you refer to the 'Option 2 - Completely uninstall Microsoft 365 with the uninstall support tool' in article 'Uninstall Office from a PC'.
    • Then please restart your machine, install Office 2016 for a check.

If the uninstall support tool does not work, it's recommended to try following steps.

    • Search CMD, right-click the Command Prompt and run as administrator. Then copy and paste the command below in it, click Enter at last:

    cscript.exe "%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs" /dstatus

(If you are running 32-bit Office on a 64-bit operating system)

    cscript.exe "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs" /dstatus

    • Then please share us with a screenshot of the command results or copy the results. I will check the Office license information.
    • Please note, the commands needs to be run with Office installed.

Any updates, welcome to post back.
