Can you have Publisher display name different from the company name ?

Hello,

I will be creating a new company account to join the Microsoft Flight Simulator marketplace program.

I would like to know if it is possible to have "Publisher display name" different from the company name.

For example, the company name would be "Airplane s.r.o" and the Publisher display name would be "Landing Gear".

Is it possible like this?

Hi, I see that this question was never answered. I'm trying to join the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program, and my company name is incorporated as "Tovo Inc." but I recently bought a domain called "renewradar.com", and I would like my publisher name to be "Renew Radar" to match my domain when users of my app approve permissions for my app. My purpose in wanting this Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program is to appear as a verified app rather than an unverified one.

I've been consistently rejected in the "Identity verification" for the "Partner" tab (I will be making a support ticket request to get that fixed), and I've been consistently rejected in the "Employment verification" in the "Developer" tab (this one keeps claiming that my company name doesn't match, I'm guessing due to what I explained in the first paragraph). For this "Developer" tab issue especially, I understand that the publisher name needs to match exactly the business documents, so I'm wondering if getting a DBA (doing business as) would be accepted, or if after going through the pains of getting that I still won't be approved. I haven't been able to find how people have dealt with DBAs in the partner center, or if I should be going about it a different way like legally changing the name of my company name from Tovo Inc. to something else.

Please anyone with experience with this, any help would be greatly appreciated! (I've seen all the common responses to microsoft partner center verification issues, so some new information is what I'm looking for)

You can change your Publisher display name Account Settings > Organization profile > Legal info >Contact info in Microsoft Partner Center.

Is your account a Microsoft Store account in Microsoft Partner Center or just a Microsoft Flight Simulator Store account?

How far have you progressed now? Has the developer account registration been completed?

In Microsoft Flight Simulator, click "APPLY NOW", sign with my developer account, and I can set my Publisher display name(Company name) here.

You can only choose one of the two because you only have one option to fill in the company name.
