free version of Microsoft Teams problem

I use a free Teams account to setup a Teams meeting. I am the host and invite 5 persons to join.

I setup the event details in Teams calander and send invitation.

The attendee received the Microsoft Teams Meeting invitation email which sender is outlook.com onbehalf of me.

However, after the attendee reply Accept/Reject for the invitation, they receive undelivery mail

stating that the following organization reject your mail: outlook-com.olc.protection.outlook.com.

May I know the reason is due to my host email address not using Microsoft 365 platform.

Can Gmail user initial a teams meeting using free team account and receive the accept/reject result.

Yes, a Gmail user can initiate a Teams meeting using a free Teams account. However, he will not be able to receive the accept/reject result unless the recipient is also a Gmail user. This is because free Teams accounts do not have access to the Teams calendar, which is where the accept/reject responses are stored.

I tried to initiate a Teams meeting using an normal exchange email account. It still cannot receive the accept/reject result. I think that accept/reject result only reply to the outlook.com account only, not reply to my own email account.

Hi @Ken

According to your description, the problem is not with the meeting creator's account, but with the attendee's account.

What type of account do the users invited to the meeting use?
