Purview How to maintain the order of columns in a custom type connector?

We are loading the columns using a tabular_schema and loading the columns in a specific order but this is not maintained in UI. Is there a way to specify and maintain the indicated column order?

As per my understanding you want to know if there is a way to redefine the column order in custom connector in Microsoft Purview.

You can try "Column Mapping" where you can define the source and sink in json and define the column orders as an array of individual objects.

@AnnuKumari-MSFT I actually have the same issue using Purview API . I created a hive_table, inserted several hive_columns, created the relationship between table and columns and the order is completely messed up. I tried with Bulk Insert as well as sequentially, both with no success. I do not want to have sinks, and sources, I just want to order the columns in the way I inserted them. How is that possible? Thx!
