Saving Images in Canvas to XML File

How can I save images from Canvas controls to an XML file that I can later open? I have a few image controls in the Canvas and need to save them to an XML file. These images have their own width, height, direction of rotation, and margins.

This is a UWP environment, and some win32 APIs may not work.

Any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated.

Currently there is no API available in UWP to save images from Canvas controls to an XML file.

Why do you want to do this? What is the specific scenario? Maybe we can approach this problem from other directions.
