Why can't I hear my friends on any social apps?

Hi, I use discord and xbox app on pc to communicate with my friends. Recently I have had the problem where I can't hear my friends even though they can hear me and they can hear me in game chats. Please help me find out why I my friends can't hear me!

    Make sure that your audio drivers are up to date.

    User Settings > Voice & Video and scroll down to the "Reset Voice Settings" section. Then, click the "Reset Voice Settings" button.

    If you've tried all of the other steps and you're still not able to hear people in Discord, you can try reinstalling Discord.
