What are the implications of upgrading the mailbox or user licence from M365 E1 or E3 to Teams Meeting Room Pro or Exchange Online P2?

My objective here is to assign the appropriate licences while preserving any calendar or inbox information.

    Hi @EnterpriseArchitect

    Could you please tell me:

    Do you mean the licenses M365 E3, O365 E3 and O365 E1 (M365 does not include E1 license)?

If the license you are using is M365 E3 or O365 E3, these two licenses include the Exchange Online Plan 2 service, and you do not need to purchase it additionally.

If the license you are using is O365 E1, the license includes the Exchange Online Plan 1 service. If you purchase Exchange Online Plan 2, it will not affect your existing calendar and inbox information. Exchange Online Plan 2 has more features than Exchange Online Plan 1:

Microsoft Teams Rooms is an additional Microsoft Teams product that brings video, audio, and content sharing to conference rooms. Your purchase of this license will also have no impact on the original information.
