simplified chinese ime dictionaries are not ready - Windows 11 Home

Hi!

No matter how many times i try to download the Simplified Chinese keyboard it just doesn't work. it always keeps saying "simplified chinese IME dictionaries are not ready" and the downloads never finishes. Already 1 year with this problem, please help.

Hi Pepe,

Please open CMD as administrator and run the command Dism /online /Add-Package /PackagePath:"<FilePath>\<PackageName>.cab" to add FODs. For example:

Dism /online /Add-Package /PackagePath:"C:\users\Administrator\Desktop\Microsoft-Windows-LanguageFeatures-Basic-zh-cn-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~.cab"

Use your own file path and the cab package you downloaded. The Language and Optional Features ISO can be downloaded here.

I entered the link you gave me for download languages
But which one should i choose? Should i download a software to read the ISO right? What is an azure VM? Once i download then the name of the file would be similar to the one you wrote in the example ?? "Windows-LanguageFeatures-Basic-zh-cn-Package". But also, that article have so many things i don't have knowledge of. In the meantime i am downloading Windows 11, version 21H2 Language and Optional Features ISO , from there i will only keep the chinese one and then try what you said of the CMD

Requirements

Before you can add languages to a Windows 11 Enterprise VM, you'll need to have the following things ready:

An Azure VM with Windows 11 Enterprise installed

A Language and Optional Features ISO and Inbox Apps ISO of the OS version the image uses. You can download them here:

Windows 11, version 21H2 Language and Optional Features ISO

Windows 11, version 22H2 and 23H2 Language and Optional Features ISO

Inbox Apps ISO:

Windows 11, version 21H2 Inbox Apps ISO

An Azure Files share or a file share on a Windows File Server VM

I tried doing what you told me, i downloaded

"Windows 11, version 21H2 Language and Optional Features ISO"

from this link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/windows-11-language-packs

then i mounted the ISO with Daemon Tools Lite, opened it and then went to folder "languageandoptionalfeatures" after that inside the folder i located the file Microsoft-Windows-LanguageFeatures-Basic-zh-cn-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~ i downloaded to my desktop, i run Dism /online /Add-Package /PackagePath:"C:\my user\Administrator\Desktop\Microsoft-Windows-LanguageFeatures-Basic-zh-cn-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~.cab" and this was happening ( image attached )
