How to recover my bitlocker encrypted drive?

I had Windows 10 pro in my Laptop that time I locked one of my drive with bitlocker. but when I change OS to Windows 8.1 back, now my that drive which was locked by bitlocker is not opening although I have its password and recovery key both but still not unlocking. Plz help me to recover my data back.

    without the key a clean install of the operating system will be necessary.
