Are you referring to Datadog.AzureAppServices.DotNet? Not sure how you tried to update function app extensions i.e. portal, VS code or CLI and any additional details such as error message including full stack trace, screenshot, if possible, would be helpful.
I would like to let you know that this extension is owned by DataDog and you can also open a new issue via https://github.com/DataDog/datadog-aas-extension/issues repo.
