If you have RDS CALs for Azure, it's likely that those licenses are valid only for use within the Azure environment. If you want to use RDS in AWS, you may need to obtain separate RDS CALs that are specifically licensed for AWS.

Thank you for your response. There has been a slight change in my requirements. I am currently using an RDS CAL (Remote Desktop Services Client Access License) on-premises and am in the process of migrating to the AWS Cloud. My question is whether I can continue to use the same RDS CAL license that I have been using on-premises once I transition to AWS?

Generally, the RDS CALs are typically specific to the deployment environment. If you have RDS CALs that were purchased for on-premises use, they may not automatically transfer to the cloud, and you may need to acquire new licenses or ensure that your existing licenses are valid for cloud deployments.

Okay,How can we verify if the license is valid for cloud deployment? If it is, could you please provide steps or guidance on how to use the same license in AWS when migrating?

There is no proper steps defined regarding this. you may find some information on checking your licensing agreement. Other way is to connect with support.
