I have 1 question as follows:

If I buy 6 windows 11 home/pro licenses via CSP channel for 6 PCs.

When 1 of 6 PCs is damaged, can I reactive that license to the new machine? Or do I have to buy a new one

Thank you so much!

Yes, you can reactivate the license on a new machine if one of the six PCs is damaged. You do not need to buy a new license. However, there are some conditions that need to be met:

    • The license must be a full Windows 11 Home/Pro license, not an upgrade license.
    • The new machine must meet the minimum system requirements for Windows 11.
    • You must deactivate the license on the old machine before activating it on the new machine.

    Hello

Typically, with Microsoft’s CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) program, the licenses you purchase are not tied to a specific device, they are user-based. This means you can reassign the license from the damaged PC to a new one. However, as far as I know, Microsoft’s terms and conditions usually allow license reassignment to a new device only once every 90 days, except in the case of hardware failure.

It is recommended to contact your CSP for definitive information based on your specific licensing agreement.

    Best Regards,
