I need help to get Email Attachments sent by unknown people sent on my behalf.

1.	This is about a task which is my scope of work; Subtask2 depends on output of Subtask1. Unknown did Subtask1 during my absence; I can't do Subtask2. IMHO shouldn't said email be automatically made available to person responsible?
2.	To Find Email Sender with Criterion:

Without output (typically by me but during my leave of absence done by unknown persons on my behalf) which is input to remaining portion of monthly task, how can I complete remaining portion of task assigned to me?
