App Service Domain "Advanced Management Portal" is missing

I have the same question as here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1320156/how-should-i-get-my-azure-user-can-access-to-the-a. We used to manage our DNS entries through the "Advanced Management Portal" which has now been removed. The post says to manage this through Azure DNS but when we go there we get the following warning:

We purchased the domain prior to 2017 before Azure DNS management was around so I don't think our DNS was ever linked up to that system. Is there any way we are able to get our DNS entries so that we can recreate them in Azure DNS?

You can transfer your domain out of Azure (which is not a registrar) to another registrar using API and PowerShell. You will need an authorization code that you can use with your preferred registrar to complete the transfer.

For more information on how to transfer your domain out of Azure, please refer to this blog post.

For Pay-As-You-Go subscriptions, the Advanced Management Portal has migrated to Manage DNS Records, which provides an Azure portal-centric experience. If you bought your domain inside the portal and it is managed by Azure, you can use the Manage DNS Records blade to make any updates. If your domain is not managed by Azure, you can either migrate it into Azure or transfer it to another registrar where you can adjust the records.

If your subscription is not pay as you go, you need to be the owner of the subscription, not just the resource group. If you are not the owner of the subscription, the Global Admin can create a custom role that grants your account Microsoft.DomainRegistration/generateSSOAction/action at the subscription level. Also note that the link to access this feature may be under Domain Management in the App Service Domain toolbar.

@SnehaAgrawal-MSFT The issue that @Michael Stanton is asking isn't to transfer a domain out of Azure, but instead he is asking - Is there any way to get the DNS entries which was purchased prior to 2017 before Azure DNS management existed, which was previously managed via the Advanced Management Portal that was deprecated as noted in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1320156/how-should-i-get-my-azure-user-can-access-to-the-a.

The answer to that question @Anonymous states:

You did not mention what you are trying to accomplish with your domain, but the two main features of the legacy portal were to manage the DNS and transfer the domain. The proper way to manage your DNS for your domain is via Azure DNS going forward.

I believe that this is what he is attempting to accomplish is to - he wishes to manage his DNS via Azure DNS going forward, however the warning in his question states that by clicking "Delegate to Azure DNS zone" only the domain nameservers will move towards Azure DNS and the pre-existing DNS records will be copied over. So, correct me if I'm wrong @Michael Stanton but the issue appears to be:

He used to manage our DNS entries through the "Advanced Management Portal" which has now been removed.

The proper way to manage your DNS for your domain is via Azure DNS going forward.

Azure DNS does not move pre-existing DNS records and Azure recommends that you copy over the DNS records first, prior to delegation.

He is unable to access the pre-existing DNS records because Azure has removed the method which he managed his DNS entries, so he is trying to figure out how to view those DNS entries in order to avoid risking losing pre-existing DNS records.

Unfortunately without the "Advanced Management Portal" there is no way for me to access my DNS entries. I have reached out to Godaddy, who I believe Azure was using as the DNS at the time. The response I received from Godaddy was "Please contact Azure directly for further assistance."

Is there any way to regain access to the Advanced Management Portal? If not, then how can I retrieve my DNS entries? I am trying not the lose the DNS entries.

Update- Here the issue is with managing DNS entries after the removal of the 'Advanced Management Portal'. They are trying to transfer their domain, igniterecognition.com, out of Azure but are unable to find their DNS entries in Azure DNS. It was mentioned that they purchased the domain before 2017 and it was not linked to Azure DNS. Resolution- DNS entries can be seen using- www.digwebinterface.com Also suggested to use this document for Azure DNS- Quickstart: Create a public DNS zone and record - Azure portal - Azure DNS | Microsoft Learn
