API's for accessing drives(File System), Microphone, Camera, add or remove software

Hi,

We are starting to develop a cross platform app using .NET MAUI. To start with targeting windows OS, later to extend andriod, IOS & others.

The app involves around some features which needs access to local machine - like drives(File System), Microphone, Camera, add or remove softwares.

Also MS services like Outlook, would like to read & reply emails from app. Providing references around this will be helpful to contine with the app. Please help

Please ask one question per thread. Can you open new threads about these features? By the way, MAUI have a File system helpers, you can write/save files in this path.

If you want to access Microphone, Camera, do you want to record video by MAUI application?

MS services like Outlook, would like to read & reply emails from app.

You can use Email api to send emails.

Thanks Leon Lu. Going forward will open separate threads for next set of questions separately. If you want to access Microphone, Camera, do you want to record video by MAUI application? - Yes we want to record input from user, capture voice.

Hello,

Yes we want to record input from user, capture voice.

You can use MediaPicker.CaptureVideoAsync(MediaPickerOptions) Method to open the camera to take a video.
