Remote desktop disconnected due to other connection.

I recently upgraded my two computers to windows pro so that I could use remote desktop to switch between them freely. I have a windows 11 device and a windows 10 device. They are both on the same network but when I try to connect to the windows 10 device, it tells me that my connection was disconnected because another connection was made to the remote pc. I am the only one on this network that has access to remote desktop and I am using the (to my knowledge) new RDP app. How can I fix this problem or is there a way to get the older app so I can connect to my other computer quickly and easily?

    Hello,

Can you share the Command Prompt output from either the "quser" or "qwinsta" command on the Windows 10 device? This will help us identify any active remote desktop sessions.

You might want to ensure there isn't a lingering session causing the issue. Open Task Manager, navigate to the "Users" tab, and locate your user account in the list. If you find an active session, right-click on it and select "Disconnect" to terminate the session. Once you've disconnected any existing sessions, attempt to connect again from your Windows 11 device.
