This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
My current laptop is already BitLocker-encrypted (Full Disc Encryption).
I wanted to change the OS storage component (nVME SSD) to another laptop of the same model because my current laptop frequently crashes, even though I had already reformatted and reinstalled my Windows 11 Enterprise OS.
My goal here is to be able to use the laptop with my existing OS I already preinstalled and configured without reformatting and reinstalling OS and its application again.
The much safer thing to do here is to turn off bitlocker for this transition.

Hi @EnterpriseArchitect •
You should have the recovery key if you want use encrypted disk on another machine.
If it's not the case you should remove bitlocker encryption on all disk before as mentioned by Dave.
