Can I use Azure Cognitive Language for PII detection using my own custom Data and custom labels?

I want to develop a tool that detects Personally identifiable Information using my own custom data.My question is can I use Azure Cognitive Services for that?If yes,How can I upload the custom data and upload my custom labels?

Hi

You can have various APIs for different AI capabilities, but there isn't a specific Azure Cognitive Service designed explicitly for detecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in custom data, If I'm not wrong, I can suggest a workaround but it might not be a perfect solution give it a read

start by creating a Custom Vision project on the Azure portal, specifying the required settings. Upload custom data containing examples of PII, and meticulously label the images to indicate the presence of PII.

Train the Custom Vision model using the labeled data and evaluate its performance on test data to ensure accurate recognition. Export the trained model from the Custom Vision portal and integrate it into your application or workflow for PII detection.

Did you get a chance to check, what is Personally Identifiable Information (PII) detection in Azure AI Language?

You can integrate PII detection into your applications using the REST API, or the SDK library available in various languages: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/language-service/personally-identifiable-information/quickstart?pivots=programming-language-python
