Send digits during a pstn outbound call with azure communicator service

Good day. I have been researching Azure Communicator capabilities for weeks to allow users to send digits/DTMF tones/extensions during an outbound PSTN/phone call. So far, the only way is through implementing Cognitive Services, but we are not generating the options. Does a method or API exist to send DTMF tones/digits without using Azure Cognitive services?

You can send the DTMF tone through using the call media REST API or by using Call interface inherited methods send dtmf tone in JS sdk.

2024-01-02T04:05:33.0066667+00:00 I tried to send the DTMF tone with the rest API but I got errors. Is there a chance for you to post a sample of where to get each of the parameter values. I don't know where do I get the call connection id. Thanks

2024-01-02T07:32:00.1833333+00:00 @Karen Flores Thanks for your response and follow-up questions. To test this Call Media - Send Dtmf Tones Rest API you need to have ConnectionId which will be available when a call is connected using call automation.
Send Dtmf Tone rest api is used to send the dtmf responses over the call and If you want to recognize the dtmf inputs which were passed during the call you need to this Recognize rest API.
Request body of the recognize api vary based on the type.

callConnectionIdand triggering DTMF correctly. If you managed to get it working, I’d really appreciate it if you could share a working example or outline how you handled the call setup and DTMF tone sending.Thanks in advance!
