Hello ,

I need to prevent users from accessing any kind of links ( can't click links) using microsoft azure.

Is there any way?

Hi, Michael.

Do you mean links in the portal or website links on an Azure Virtual machine, etc? Links aren't something that you can use the Azure Platform to control, and I would argue you shouldn't, it would break a few things, like mail links etc.

I would look into Defender for Endpoint, and RBAC and PIM to make sure that people that DO have access to the Azure Portal only have the access they need.

Hi Luke,

Any links sent in outlook or teams to users either from users themselves or outside the organisation i want them to not being able to click on them or open them . I manage all policies from Azure portal but can't find this one . Is there any way to do it ( not necessary from azure ) ?

Hi, Michael

You won't be able to do this with Azure policies etc.

The closest I can think of is Safe Link policies in Defender for M365.

Welcome to our forum! Please kindly understand that the Outlook tag here we mainly focus on general issues about Outlook desktop client, and not much is known about Azure.

As far as I know, the way in which the user is blocked from accessing the settings also depends on the type of link. For example, if you want to prevent users from accessing any links in Outlook or Teams on unmanaged devices, you can use the SharePoint admin center to block access to SharePoint and OneDrive for Business content. If you want to prevent users from accessing any links in Outlook or Teams outside your organization, you can disable external sharing in the SharePoint admin center.
