What @nidhi gupta meant is, the error that we are getting and you are writing "which is “AzureForStudents_2018-01-01”. for now, the maximum for student subscription is 0." are the same. The problem is we didn't create a single WS and how did we exceed the limit?

Do you mean, for the Student account, we can't even create 1 synapse workspace?

Having the same issue. I had previously had multiple synapse workspaces on this same subscription with no issues, and when trying to create a synapse workspace now, I am receiving the same error. Has the AzureForStudents subscription changed recently? And if so, where is this information held?

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platfrom. This is an excepted behaviour with Azure Student subscription. As per the official documentation, for Azure for Students offer type:Synapse workspaces in an Azure subscription is zero and hence you are experiencing the above error message. User's image

In order to create Azure Synapse workspaces, you need to upgrade to PayAsYouGo subscription. Note: And if you need more than 2 workspaces, you will need to create a request to increase the quota for your subscription as shown below: Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.

Till DEC 2023 this was working how sudden changes without prior updates to users.
